The DAZ Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony took place on Saturday, 27th January 2024, at Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ebenezer Congregation Conference hall, Tafo, Kumasi. Theevent aimed to recognize and celebrate outstanding Female Nursing students facing financial challenges, providing them with an opportunity to pursue their academic dreams. The ceremony was attended by Five(5) Awardees, and their parents, Five (5) Second year DAZ Foundation scholarship recipients, Board Chairman and Director of DAZ Foundation, Radio and Television media were also in attendance.

In all, Five (5) deserving students were awarded scholarships based on their academic achievements and financial need. They are

1. Deborah Darkwah – Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Twifo Praso.

2. Constance Yeboah – Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Dormaa Ahenkro.  
3. Anastasia Bamfo Debrah – SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Asamang.
4. Adwoa Saah Agyei – Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Kumasi.
5. Gifty Mateko Dah Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Korle-Bu. Accra

Rev.Dr. William Owusu-Boateng (Board Chairman of DAZ Foundation) delivered an inspiring keynote address, on the history of DAZ Foundation and emphasizing the importance of education, and supporting students in need. Reverend, also acknowledged Sponsors and donors for their invaluable contributions, emphasizing their role in making the scholarships possible.

Kwaku Adjei Opoku ( Director of DAZ Foundation) highlighted on Terms and Conditions of the scholarship and the need for students to strive to meet these conditions.

Emotional testimonials from previous scholarship recipients added a personal touch to the event, showcasing the real-life impact of the scholarships on academic pursuits and future aspirations.

Parents of the scholarship recipients revealed a significant positive impact the scholarship will have on their wards academic journeys, fostering a sense of gratitude and motivation.
