DAZ Foundation seeks to impact the lives of the vulnerable and marginalized persons especially women and children to improve their lives and others through education, economic empowerment and social entrepreneurship.

DAZ Foundation scholarship aims to reach students (women) at critical point in their education as they make decision about their college and future career. Through the support of generous donors, the Foundation awarded five Nursing students with financial assistance. The scholarship covers Tuition fee, Hall/Hostel fee and Monthly stipend.

The scholarship is a part of a comprehensive approach seeking to diversify talent in the Nursing careers pipeline through continuous engagement at multiples point on a student’s pathway to the profession.

The Foundation received application from twenty potential applicants, out of these, five applicants were shortlisted for the awards. In all, twenty participants were in attendance at the scholarship awards ceremony held at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Trinity Congregation, Bomso, Kumasi, on January 16th, 2023, among them were Rev. Dr. William Owusu-Boateng, (Board member, DAZ Foundation), Kwaku Adjei Opoku, (Director, DAZ Foundation), Awardees, Parents of awardees, representatives from the media and other invited guests.

The awardees expressed their profound gratitude to DAZ foundation, for their immense support to the marginalized and less privileged women in the society, on their part they pledge to maximize the opportunity given them to contribute their quota to sustainable development.
